Sabine County Jail Museum

The jail was built in 1904 and was used by Sabine County until 1982. One of two jails in Texas that had a hanging rope. Now known as the Sabine County Jail Museum and Vergie Speights Memorial Library. The jail is rich in history, rare books for viewing, and many interesting exhibits. View the rope used for hanging and the trap door. Open Wednesday - Saturday, 9am - 2pm.
